Call for application: new ENLIGHT courses for academic year 2022/23 

The ENLIGHT network has announced the courses of the 2022/2023 academic year that are also open for students of the University of Tartu.  

The ENLIGHT network is characterised by diversity, offering courses that have been developed for students of all levels. The selection includes both virtual courses and Erasmus+ blended intensive programme (BIP), where the student can use Erasmus+ short-term individual learning mobility funding. The student can receive ECTS according to the criteria set out in the course description. 

Application is open for the following ENLIGHT courses: 

  1. Regional innovation systems for sustainable development (RIS) (Erasmus+ blended mobility course): University of Göttingen, apply in the UT by 7 November via the SoleMOVE system according to the guidelines here below.

  2. Global Engagement module (2023) (Erasmus+ blended mobility course): University of Groningen, Ghent University, University of Göttingen, apply in the UT from 10 October to 9 November via the SoleMOVE system according to the guidelines here below;

Application has ended for the following ENLIGHT courses: 

  1. Implementing virtual exchange at the University of Göttingen: Scenarios around Academic Writing in intercultural teams – virtual course, University of Göttingen, apply by 17 October; 

  1. ENLIVE (ENLIGHT Network Language and Intercultural Virtual Exchange) - virtual course,  
    University of Bordeaux, University of Göttingen, apply by 24 October; 

  1. Sustainable Development, Trade and Environmental Economics – virtual course, University of Göttingen, apply by 27 October;  

  2. Teaching for global citizenship in European classrooms: a challenge-based approach (Erasmus+ blended mobility course); Ghent University, apply in the UT from 10 to 31 October via the SoleMOVE system according to the guidelines here below. 

  3. Artificial Intelligence for non-IT students (Erasmus+ blended mobility course): University of the Basque Country, apply in the UT by 30 October via the SoleMOVE system according to the guidelines here below.

Please make sure you are familiar with the Erasmus+ blended mobility terms and grants before submitting the application!

Erasmus+ blended mobility application should be submitted via SoleMOVE system as follows: 

  1. Select University of Tartu as your home university from the list 

  1. Log into the system by using your UT credentials 

  1. From the menu at left side bar, choose "Application form for short student mobility" 

  1. Click "new" to start creating an application 

  1. Choose “Study" for the type of mobility 

  1. Select application period (competition call) from the list: „Blended Intensive Program (BIP)“ 

  1. Click "save" to save the draft and start filling out the application.  


Start filling the application from the second tab (exchange study information), not from the first (personal data). It is important because choosing the study abroad exchange program under defines the fields of the application template accordingly. Once the study abroad exchange program has been selected, the application template gets changed, before that it is displayed as general template. 

  • Exchange study information: 

For Groningen or Göttingen, choose Groningen: the Netherlands, University of Groningen, (NL GRONING01) 

For Ghent, choose Ghent: Belgium, University of Ghent, (B GENT 01)

  • Exchange program: Erasmus+ Europe 

  • Mobility: Blended                                        

  • Home institution:  Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies 

  • Departmental coordinator: Uta Kührt

  • Duration of your exchange: April 15-23, 2023 (period of physical study abroad) 

  • Enclosures: upload a short letter of motivation

Courses completed online can be transferred to your studies based on the study plan. Before registering for an online course, the student fills out the study plan and submits a signed copy to the RPL coordinator or program manager of their studies. It is recommended to submit the plan at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the online course. The RPL committee then makes a decision which the student will be informed of. A study contract is not added to the online study plan. When the course is completed, the student presents a certificate to their RPL coordinator.  

The instructions above only apply in case of online (virtual) courses, students participating in Erasmus+ blended mobility (short-term on-site mobility combined with virtual part) should follow the regular process for study plan and learning agreement.
