The Director of Narva College received the Aadu Luukas Mission Award

Katri Raik, the Director of Narva College, received the Aadu Luukas Mission Award for serving society in the field of education. Raik has devoted her work to integrating Russians and Estonians in the Estonian education landscape and developing teacher schooling at Narva College.

With Raik at the helm, the college has developed into an educational centre for teachers of Russian-language schools in Estonia. The focus is not solely on vocational education, but also on in-service training and counselling.

This year's Mission Award grant amounts to 64,000 euros. The laureate of 2012 receives half of the grant - 32,000 euros. The rest is shared equally between the five nominees.
