Come to listen to doctoral researchers’ three-minute lectures
The University of Tartu three-minute thesis competition offers everyone the opportunity to learn in simple language how the research of current doctoral researchers contributes to making the world a better place to live in the future. The competition will be held on Wednesday, 22 October at 10:00 in the conference hall of the University of Tartu Library.
Popular-science short lectures will be delivered by participants from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Science and Technology. Each participant will have three minutes to speak about the content and impact of their research.
The competition takes place in two parts: the first features short lectures in Estonian, and the second in English. The event will close with a joint award ceremony. The audience will also choose its favourite.
The best will receive financial travel support for professional development. The video recording of the best English presentation will be sent to the 3-Minute Thesis competition of the international university network Coimbra Group.
Everyone is welcome to listen to doctoral researchers’ presentations and cheer for their favourites!
