On 16–17 May, the first Startup Bootcamp of the health technology accelerator Health Founders Estonia (HFE) will take place in Tartu, aimed at promoting healthcare innovation. Researchers, healthcare professionals, startup entrepreneurs, IT specialists, and all others with an idea for healthcare innovation are welcome to participate. Registration is open until 7 May.

During the two days, practical workshops take place, where participants are supported by experienced mentors and industry experts who provide feedback on the developed solutions. The event is intended for those with well-thought-out ideas as well as those who wish to contribute to the development of the field. If you do not yet have an innovative idea, you can choose one of the two topics proposed by the organisers.

The first topic concerns supporting heart attack patients after hospital treatment to provide a unified and standardised treatment pathway. For successful long-term treatment, it is important to give patients the knowledge and skills to monitor their condition. The second issue to be addressed is the communication between hospitalised patients with memory problems and healthcare professionals. During the event, ways to better involve patients’ family members and make communication more understandable and effective in the treatment pathway of elderly patients will be sought.

The event will take place at Spark Hub in Tartu (Narva mnt 3). Register as a team or individually on the Taikai platform. Read more on the HFE website.

The activities of Health Founders Estonia are carried out with the help of the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency via Startup Estonia, supported by European Union funding.
