Most of the events taking place during the Tartu Student Days Spring Festival from 25 April to 3 May are organised by student organisations from Tartu’s higher education institutions.

The festival starts on 25 April at Tartu Song Festival Grounds with the Students’ Night Song Festival. The programme includes several spectacular competitions that challenge both the mind and body, such as Crate Climbing, “Can’t get across the Emajõgi” and “Last one standing”.

Student organisations from the University of Tartu organise a variety of events full of adventure. Tartu Students’ Nature Conservation Circle takes people to Night-orienteering, and the University of Tartu Museum invites all to test their knowledge in the Quiz of True Students.

At the UTSU Noodle House, the University of Tartu Student Union offers a free lunch for all students. The Estonian Dental Students' Union will set up a fast-paced obstacle course STOM Track for students of other disciplines.

Also, discussion events take place. The Estonian Psychology Students’ Association holds a speed-dating style conversation night “Deep Talk Express” to talk about mental health. The Doctoral Society and the geography students’ association EGEA-Tartu invite young researchers to the sauna to speak about their research.

The culmination of the festival is on Walpurgis Night, 30 April, when the power in the city is handed over to the students, and a concert with a live fire performance takes place on the Arch Bridge. The festival will end with Mud Wrestling on Town Hall Square.

The Tartu Student Days, held every autumn and spring, is the largest student festival in the Baltics, featuring a variety of events for both students and residents of the city. The programme of the festival is available on studentdays.ee and on Facebook.
