Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits is one victory away from winning Estonian Basketball League

In the third game of the Optibet Basketball League finals, held on 23 May in Tartu, BC Kalev/Cramo defeated Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits 83-77. Tartu now leads the series 2-1 and needs one victory to secure the Estonian championship title.

Tartu controlled the game for three quarters, but at the beginning of the last quarter, BC Kalev/Cramo suddenly made a very fast sprint and scored 21 points. At the same time, Tartu completely lost themselves and their game fell apart. The home team was left with an 11-point deficit, but eventually reduced the gap to five points.

The fourth game of the best-of-three finals series takes place on Tuesday, 26 May at 19:00 at the Tondiraba sports hall. If necessary, the fifth game will be held on Friday, 29 May at the University of Tartu sports hall. Tuesday's game could prove decisive, as Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits has the opportunity to win the series and bring the championship title to Tartu after 11 years.

The team will be cheered on by the City of Tartu, the rector of the University of Tartu, the university community and other supporters. The University of Tartu Sports Board will also organise a free fan bus for Tuesday's game.
