University of Tartu is the overall winner of Student Summer Games

The University of Tartu claimed overall victory at this year’s Student Summer Games, ahead of Tallinn University of Technology in intense competition. University of Tartu athletes won first place in 20 of the 46 events and activities, securing the overall title.

Romet Kivi, whose results significantly contributed to the university’s overall victory, was named the most valuable participant from the University of Tartu. Special recognition was given to student Mayro Mett, who competed in an impressive 27 events, making him the most active participant in the summer games.

This year’s programme featured tennis, football, car pushing, street hockey, a canoe rally, and many other traditional and recreational events.

The university community is proud of this remarkable achievement and thanks all the athletes, organisers and supporters whose efforts contributed to the victory.
