Open Doors Day 2026 will take place on 26 February from 10:00 to 16:00 at the University of Tartu Library. The event offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about our degree programmes and the admission process, receive answers to your questions directly from university representatives, explore the campus through guided tours, and take part in a vibrant study fair.

Discover the vibrant study fair, where you can engage directly with programme representatives and current students, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into your future studies. The day will be officially opened with a welcome speech by Tõnu Esko, Vice Rector for Development at the University of Tartu.
Meet our international student ambassadors
While exploring the study fair, meet our international student ambassadors, who are ready to share their personal study experiences and offer first-hand insights into student life in Tartu. The ambassadors will also host interactive quizzes, adding a fun and engaging element to your Open Doors Day experience.
Join info sessions about international bachelor's programmes
During the event, you can attend information sessions on the international bachelor’s programmes in Business Administration and Science and Technology, as well as the integrated bachelor’s and master’s programme in Medicine. All sessions will take place in the Kodavere room at the University of Tartu Library, on the same floor as the study fair. The full schedule of sessions is available here.
Meet admission specialists
In addition to programme representatives, admissions specialists will be present at each info session to provide guidance on application requirements and required documents for the respective programmes. You will have a valuable opportunity to ask detailed questions about the admission process and receive advice directly from the admissions team.
Get to know the University of Tartu campus
Following the information sessions, participants are invited to join guided campus tours. Future Business Administration students will visit the Delta Centre, and future Science and Technology and Medicine students will explore the Biomedicum and the Institute of Bioengineering. Explore Tartu and visit the University of Tartu museums
Tartu is Estonia’s charming student capital and a historic university city. Known for its peaceful natural surroundings and safe living environment, Tartu offers an ideal setting for both studying and everyday life. The Open Doors Day provides an excellent opportunity to explore the city and experience its atmosphere before beginning your studies.
Participants are also invited to discover the University of Tartu’s museums, including the Art Museum, the Old Observatory, the University of Tartu Museum, and the Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden. Admission to all university museums is free of charge upon mentioning the password “Open Doors Day” at the entrance.
