Swiss-European Mobility Programme

Swiss-European Mobility Programme is a higher-education programme proposed by the Swiss government, supporting the exchange of students. Student exchange is based on bilateral agreements signed for specific study fields between the institutes/schools/colleges of UT and academic units at partner universities. The initial selection process is carried out by academic unit of UT, the final decision on accepting the student is made by the partner university.

Find suitable host university in the SoleMOVE system:

Select your academic subunit listed under "Your home unit" (institute, school, college, department) and set the criterias for "Advanced search":

  • Application period: March Application Period (non-Erasmus)
  • Select a country: Switzerland
  • Type of exchange: Studying
  • Exchange program: SEMP- Swiss-European Mobility Programme
  • Study level: Bachelor, Master or Doctorate (choose your study level)

Please contact the study abroad contact person at your academic unit for further information on the cooperation agreements under SEMP program.

Traineeship in Switzerland
If you are interested in doing traineeship in Switzerland, please contact traineeship coordinator (erasmustraineeship@ut.ee) at Study Abroad Centre. SEMP grants can only be paid by the higher educaton institutions in Switzerland, not by other traineeship hosts.

The SEMP program provides free tuition at the partner university and a stipend of 440 Swiss francs for month (1 CHF=0.82 EUR).
