EXHIBITION OPENS AT UT HISTORY MUSEUM PRESENTING HUNGARIAN SITES ON UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST

After opening the exhibition, the Ambassador will visit the Tartu Observatory which, as one of the reference points for Struve's geodetic arc, is since 2005 also part of the World Heritage list.
The information exhibition, assembled by Hungarian National Office of Cultural Heritage together with UNESCO Memory of the World Hungarian National Committee and presented at the UT History Museum introduces visitors to eight Hungarian sites on UNESCO protection list. The list currently includes the following Hungarian sites: the downtown area of Budapest, the old village of Hollókö, the caves of Aggtelek Karst, the Pannonhalma Abbey, the Hortobágyi puszta National Park, the Early Christian catacombs at Pécs Cathedral, the Fertö/Neusiedlersee cultural landscape and the famous Tokaji wine region.
The exhibition will remain open until February 20, 2006.
