Ambassadors visited the university in September to mark the 30th anniversary of re establishment of diplomatic relations

In September, the ambassadors of Romania, Germany and Norway visited the University of Tartu to mark the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of international diplomatic relations. The ambassadors of Romania and Norway also opened thematic exhibitions in Tartu.

The ambassador of Romania Călin Stoica paid a visit to the university on 13 September, the ambassador of Germany Christiane Constanze Hohmann on 14 September and the ambassador of Norway Else Berit Eikeland on 16 September.

Călin Stoica opened an exhibition of diplomatic documents of Estonia and Romania in the White Hall of the University of Tartu Museum. More broadly, the exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Estonia and Romania. The exhibition is open until 11 October and will thereafter be displayed at the University of Tartu Library. Read more about the exhibition on the university’s website.

Else Berit Eikeland opened an outdoor exhibition of Norway-Estonia relations next to Tartu Town Hall. The history of relations between Estonia and Norway goes back centuries to the days when we were connected by Viking trade routes. The exhibition will be open until 17 October. More information about the exhibition is available on the website of the Norwegian Embassy in Estonia.
