Coronavirus vaccine now available to all

From Monday, 17 May, vaccination centres start work all over Estonia and the national vaccination programme against COVID-19 opens to all people aged 16 and up, including foreigners staying in Estonia.

To get the COVID-19 vaccine, first, make an appointment in the e-booking system or by calling the number of the vaccination centre. There is no point in showing up without an appointment. Vaccination organisers ask people to be patient: at first, there will be fewer time slots available, but the vaccine deliveries are expected to increase in the coming weeks and all those who want the vaccine will get the first shot during May and June.

Foreign citizens who have the Estonian ID card can make an appointment for the vaccination just like Estonian citizens. International students and staff who do not have the Estonian ID card are advised to make an appointment by phone, using their personal identification code (ID code). If you do not have the Estonian personal identification code yet, you can apply for that at the Tartu Welcome Centre, for instance. Getting the code will take about half an hour.

The map application where health care providers enter information daily helps to find the nearest vaccination centre. It also includes phone numbers for making an appointment. The place of vaccination does not depend on the person’s registered place of residence – everyone can make an appointment at their most convenient vaccination centre all over Estonia.
