Information for students selected by UT grant committee to TSU: The students selected by the UT grant committee will also have to submit their application documents to TSU.
Kiel University is organising the 74th international summer school: "Germany today - language, society, nation, culture" from 17th July - 11th August 2023. The four weeks summer course helps participants to improve their German language skills (no courses for beginners), as well as to inform them about Germany today (language, society, nation and culture). The programme encompasses three components: German classes, lectures and excursions. More information: Internationaler Sommerkurs.
Kiel University offers three scholarships for UT students to participate in the summer course. The scholarship covers the full course costs (incl. accommodation and half-board).
Competition is open to students from all study levels and specialities. NB! Students who are planning to graduate at the end of the academic year 2022/23 cannot apply!
Applicants must have good command in German . Students should have passed the level A 2.2 before they can participate in Summer Course.

Target group: Bachelor's level students from all specialities who have completed at least two years of studies at UT prior to arrival in Japan
Language of instruction: HUSTEP programme in English in the following fields: culture and society, environment, science, and technology; it is also possible to study Japanese.
Requirements:
- average grade: 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale (3.75 on UT scale);
- students must have completed at least two years of studies at UT prior to arrival in Japan;
- English language: TOEFL iBT at least 79; IELTS at least 6.5;
- Japanese language skills are not necessarily required.

Requirements:
- All students need to submit TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo test results; minimum requirements: TOEFL 79 p; IELTS 6.0 (undergraduate) and 6.5 (graduate level students); Duolingo 110.
- Average grade at least 3.5
- Exchange students must take courses for at least 12 US credit points (24 ECTS) per semester.

Scholarship: free tuition at host institution, accommodation in the dormitory and meals.

- UNCG application (through their online application system);
- Financial Certification (bank statement, required for visa): students applying for one semester must have at least 2500 USD in their personal funds;

Programme: Inter-university cooperation agreement
Study period: 1-2 semesters (academic year Aug-May)
Target group: students from all study levels and faculties; students from Medicine have limited chances for applying. Check also the offered courses.

- English proficiency: TOEFL iBT: at least 79 p, IELTS: at least 6.5 p, test of UT College of Foreign Languages and Cultures: at least level B2.
- Exchange students must take courses at Salisbury University for at least 12 US credit points (24 ECTS) per semester.

- Undergraduate exchange students must take courses at WVU for at least 12 US credit points (24 ECTS) per semester, graduate students for at least 9 US credit points (18 ECTS) per semester.
