Research, development and creative activities

• Participation in the research, development and creative activities under the supervision of a professor or associate professor.
• International-level research in the volume equivalent to at least 1.5 doctoral theses in five years to fulfill the goals of the TeamPerMed project.

Teaching and activities related to the administration and development of teaching

• Teaching, using modern teaching methods and educational technology, primarily supervising students of the first and second level of higher education.

The University of Tartu is looking for a highly motivated researcher in statistical genetics to join our team. We expect the candidate to have:

• ability to participate in the research, development and creative activities of the specialisation.
• International-level research in the specialisation, the volume of which so far is equivalent to at least one doctoral thesis.
• Proficiency in statistical genetics methods and the ability to analyze large-scale genomics data.
• Background knowledge in human genomics, genetic epidemiology, bioinformatics, and population genetics.
• Previous experience working with genomic and health data.
• Prior research experience in the field of statistical genetics or genetic epidemiology.
• Experience in international scientific collaboration.
• Published scientific work in peer-reviewed journals.
