Purpose:
The aim of the training is to support the development of teaching skills for faculty members in the context of supervising students' theses. During the training, the roles, tasks, and expectations of both the supervisor and the supervisee at different stages of the research process will be analyzed. Additionally, the training will focus on how to plan the supervision process and provide feedback to students.
Target group:
Faculty of the University of Tartu, whose responsibility is to supervise students' thesis writing.
Outcome:
By the end of the course the participant:
- knows effective techniques and strategies of supervision;
- knows effective techniques of giving feedback.

Requirements to complete:
Participation of in classroom meetings and compiling two independent tasks.
Outcome method:
non-differentiated (pass, fail, not present)
Grading method:
Compiling the tasks and posting them into the Moodle.
Grading criteria:
The participant analysises the roles and tasks of the supervisor and supervisee in the process of supervision.
