The ENLIGHT network has announced the first courses of the 2022/2023 academic year. Choose the course you would like to participate in and apply today.
The ENLIGHT network is characterised by diversity. Here you can find courses that have been developed for bachelor’s and master’s students, as well as doctoral students. The selection includes virtual courses and Erasmus+ blended intensive programme (BIP), which combines innovative teaching and learning methods, including online teamwork. Upon completing some courses, the student has the opportunity to receive ECTS according to the criteria set out in the course description.
The courses are based on ENLIGHT’s five key areas: health and well-being, digital solutions and the impact of digitization, climate change, energy and the circular economy, and equity.

The course takes the ecosystem of the metropolis of Bordeaux within the region of New Aquitaine as an example and studies first the key drivers for the transition to a circular economy: why would we want to have urban mining? What is a circular city?
By the end of the programme, the aim is to integrate the legal, economic and societal aspects in one proposal for a circular city that reduces its waste, reuses, and recycles natural resources by urban mining.
Online introduction sessions take place from October to December and on-site learning at the University of Bordeaux from 17 to 21 October 2022. Completion of the course gives the student 5 ECTS.
Application is open until 18 June via the SoleMOVE system. The participating students must have acquired English language proficiency at B2 level.

In this seminar, future teachers from Göttingen meet students of a partner university in the online classroom. They exchange ideas and experiences through interactive methods and guided discussions on the topic of intercultural competence at school. Students are able to reflect upon their own cultural bias in the setting of school and education. Further, students can gather virtual intercultural experiences. In between the video conferences, they exchange information via an online platform and reflect on their experiences in an online portfolio.
The online phase of the course will take place in October and on-site learning at the University of Göttingen from 24 to 29 November 2022. Completion of the course gives the student 3 ECTS.

Student housing is at the heart of present and future societal issues. It must meet the generic requirements of sustainable building standards (energy performance, space evolution, life cycle, building and maintenance decarbonisation, water and energy management, urban densification…), adapt to the evolving educational formats (remote work and classes, hybrid attendance), and anticipate the new ways of living as the transition from student to young professional status lengthens.
In this course, we use the “BKinACT living lab” as a study case to challenge students to design creative technological and housing solutions that can be adapted to the various contexts of ENLIGHT partner universities, thanks to the students’ achievements in acquiring and integrating transdisciplinary skills.
The online phase of the course will take place in autumn and on-site learning at the University of Bordeaux from 28 November to 3 December 2023. Completion of the course gives the student 3 ECTS.
