Expatriate Estonian visiting professor Jaan Valsiner teaches a course on semiosis in irreversible time

In the 2021/2022 academic year, expatriate Estonian visiting professor of the University of Tartu Jaan Valsiner teaches a course “Semiosis in Irreversible Time” (FLSE.00.326). Registration to the seminars of the autumn semester is open in the Study Information System until 5 September.

In his English-taught course, Valsiner focuses on the dynamics of meaning-making in irreversible time, in sign systems, nature, culture and society. Seminars take place on Fridays from 14 to 16.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, the expatriate Estonian visiting professorship of the University of Tartu is held by Jaan Valsiner, Professor of Cultural Psychology at Aalborg University. He is one of the world’s leading cultural psychologists, whose research focuses on the intersections and interconnections of psychology and semiotics, and who has helped to promote Estonian research in the world.
