ENLIGHT virtual courses

ENLIGHT invites students to participate in virtual (online) courses during the spring semester of the academic year 2025/2026. The online course is a great way to enhance your knowledge at a foreign university while simultaneously studying at the University of Tartu.

ENLIGHT partner universities have different application deadlines. Before applying, make sure you meet the entry requirements and have received confirmation that the course can be recognised as a part of the UT curriculum. Information about the possibility of attending the course will be sent by the partner university, after their local application deadline.

Click on the course title for more detailed information about the content of the course and on how to apply. Be sure to check which disciplines the online course is intended for, including whether prior knowledge (see entry requirements) is required to participate.

Consult your study programme’s RPL (recognition of prior learning and work experience) advisers or your programme director to determine whether the online course you have chosen can be recognized towards your studies through credit transfer, i.e., transferred to studies at the University of Tartu.

Once you have obtained consent, please fill out the online course application form. We will submit the data of the applied students to the partner university, unless the student has applied for an online course that is not intended for students of their field of study. The partner university will inform either the student or the UT employee who communicated the data whether participation in the online course is possible and provide guidance on the following steps.

Once you have received confirmation from an ENLIGHT university that you can attend an online course, please complete the study plan for online courses (Study plan for online learning abroad) and submit the signed study plan to your RPL coordinator. In addition to the study plan for online learning, there is no need to make a learning agreement, as the student taking online courses is not registered for study abroad.

Once the online course has been completed, submit a certificate of study result, usually called a Transcript of Records to the RPL coordinator of your study programme.

The study plan applies to one partner university course. If you wish to take online courses from different universities, then several study plans must be submitted.
