Purpose:
The aim of the course is:
to boost reading skills of learners of Estonian as a foreign language
to improve their listening, speaking, and writing skills through interactive reading tasks.
to increase learners' understanding of the culture, society, and traditions of Estonia.
to make the learners of Estonian more knowledgeable about the country, its regions, and towns.
to help the learners of Estonian faster and more successfully integrate into the society by broadening their linguistic and cultural awareness.
Target group:
Estonian language learners
Outcome:
1. The participants will boost their Estonian language competence.
2. The participants will improve Estonian synthetic, analytical, and functional digital reading skills.
3. The participants will acquire social and cultural competence for easier and smoother integration into the Estonian society.
4. The participants will broaden their understanding of the culture and lifestyle in Estonia.
5. The participants will get closer acquainted with all the regions of Estonia and what they are famous for.
Teachers:
Anne Reinsoo - Anne Reinsoo graduated Tartu University as Estonian Philologist, the teacher of Estonian language and literature. Teaching experience 38 years, including16 years of experience teaching Estonian as a second or foreign language for adults.
Kadri Raigo - Kadri Raigo, MA, has graduated Tallinn University with a degree in Andragogy and has been working as Estonian as a second language teacher at the Integration Foundation since 2020.
Merju Lomp-Alev - Merju Lomp-Alev, MA. 7 years of experience teaching Estonian as a foreign language in university
Pille Maffucci - Pille Maffucci, MA, Estonian as a second language teacher. 12 years of experience teaching Estonian as a second language or foreign language for adults.
Oleksandra Golovko - Oleksandra Golovko, PhD, rich experience in creating digital courses and digital tasks for learners of English as a foreign languahe
Margit Raias - Margit Raias has graduated from Tallinn University with a degree in Estonian Philology and has been working as a teacher of Estonian as a second language at the Integration Foundation since 2021.
