Purpose:
The aim of the course is to develop the Estonian language skills of students with a different mother tongue in the final grades of high school (mainly 12th grade) at the C1 level. Students must understand the level-appropriate texts read or listened to and be able to express themselves fluently both in writing and orally.
Outcome:
By the end of the course, the student
- has received an overview of the majors taught at the University of Tartu;
- distinguishes between general and professional language;
- can make summaries of texts about different disciplines;
- can comment on the topics discussed in the course, discuss them, while using language knowledge purposefully.
