In its Faces of ENLIGHT campaign, the alliance of European universities ENLIGHT presents its members who set an example through their professional achievements and personal qualities. ENLIGHT will present a total of six people from the University of Tartu, two of whom have already been introduced. Now the third is in the spotlight – Rando Simson, Vice President of the Student Body.
Rando Simson was elected this summer to the board of the Student Union as the vice president for development and is also one of the ENLIGHT representatives at the University of Tartu. His active work as a student representative and involvement in international networks have given him a unique experience of academic and student life.
During the campaign, interviews are conducted with those selected, focusing on how participation in the network has broadened their horizons. In his interview, Rando describes his journey at the University of Tartu and explains his perspective on the future of international cooperation and student mobility. Read the interview with Rando on the ENLIGHT website.
The people recognised in the Faces of ENLIGHT campaign include student representatives, current and retired teaching staff, and other university employees. Previous interviewees from the University of Tartu were Professor of Environmental Health Hans Orru and former student representative and Vice President of the Student Union, Anette-Mai Pirk-Birk. The continuously updated list of interviewees can be found on the ENLIGHT website.
