The Estonian Association of Architects and University of Tartu announce an idea competition for the reconstruction of the School of Law building in Tallinn

The idea competition aims to find the best solution for reconstructing the academic building at Kaarli pst 3 and the design for the yard area.

The new solution must facilitate cooperation and interaction between students. To this end, various study and social areas should be created besides the lecture halls to provide a pleasant studying and relaxation environment for the students and lecturers.

The competition jury is chaired by Kstina Noormets, Director of Administration of the University of Tartu. The jury members are Gaabriel Tavits, Director of the School of Law; Viljo Vider, Head of the Institutional Development Service of the university’s Estate Office; Katrin Koov, Eve Komp and Ülo Peil, members of the Estonian Association of Architects; and Lea Järve, Architect of the Tallinn Urban Planning Department.

The submission of entries to the architectural idea competition for the University of Tartu academic building at Kaarli pst 3 is open until 20 December. The draft designs and documents can be submitted electronically via the public procurement register at https://riigihanked.riik.ee.
