Duties and responsibilities
  • Teaching, using modern teaching methods and educational technology, at all levels of higher education.
  • Supervising students of the first and second level of higher education.
  • Teaching development.
  • Activities related to the administration and development of teaching.
  • Professional development, incl. to enhance teaching and supervising skills.
  • Participation in the research, development and creative activities, including research in the volume equivalent to at least 2/3 of a doctoral thesis in five years.
  • Development of skills necessary for research, development and creative activities, and professional development.
  • Participation in the work of the university’s decision-making bodies is recommended.
  • Popularising their specialisation.

Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience
  • Ability to teach at the first two levels of higher education, incl. to supervise students of the first and second level of higher education.
  • Previous teaching experience at a higher-education institution; experience in supervising students and teaching e-courses is recommended.
  • Knowledge of modern teaching aids, learning environments, teaching methods and their development opportunities.
  • Work experience in non-formal education is recommended.
  • International professional cooperation experience.

Required language skills
Good command of written and spoken Estonian and English. Additional language skills will be an advantage.
