Lecturer of Sports Physiotherapy

Duties and responsibilities
  • Teaching on all levels of higher education following the standards of contemporary methodology and educational technology.
  • In the capacity of the responsible teaching staff member teaching the following courses: Basics in Sports Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy I, Sports Physiotherapy Course for Master Students and Manual Therapy.
  • Supervising students on the first and second level of higher education.
  • Activities related to the administration and development of teaching.
  • Participation in research and development of the structure unit, in different research groups.
  • Conducting research at least in the volume equivalent to 2/3 of a doctoral thesis in five years (at the workload of 1.0).
  • Professional development, incl. in teaching and supervising skills.   

Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience
  • Previous teaching experience in a higher education institution both in contact and e-learning in the area of physiotherapy.
  • Previous experience of supervising master´s theses of students.
  • Knowledge of contemporary educational tools, learning environments, teaching methods and their development possibilities.
  • Internationally regognized research in the volume equivalent to at least one doctoral thesis.
  • Practical experience in the application of sports physiotherapy methods and counselling in athletes.

Required language skills
Excellent command of written and spoken Estonian language. Knowledge of the English language, sufficient for professional communication and writing.
