Duties and responsibilities
- Participation in research and development activities under the supervision of a professor or associate professor.
- Internationally recognized research in five years at least in the volume equivalent to that of 1.5 doctoral theses (volume of research work at the workload of 1.0), incl. conducting research projects in psychology, coordinating studies and carrying out lab-work, data analysis and interpretation and publication of results in internationally recognized research journals.
- Teaching activities in the field of psychology.
- Professional development to enhance teaching and supervising skills.
- Supervising BSc, MSc, and PhD students.
- Participation in activities related to the promotion and implementation of the research field.
- Participation in the work of the university’s decision-making bodies and other similar activities.
Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
- Competence in social science research methods and their application in teaching and research.
- Experience in the promotion of the research field and experience in publishing at the high international level in the field of psychology.
- Experience in conducting or managing research projects.
- Knowledge of modern teaching aids, learning environments, teaching methods and their development opportunities.
- Ability to organise teaching and teaching at all levels of higher education.
- Previous teaching experience at least the first two levels of higher education.
- Experience in effective supervision of students at higher level.
Required language skills
Excellent command of Estonian and English in speech and in writing.
Personal qualities
Good teamwork and communication skills.
