Ambassadors of Sweden and Australia visited the University of Tartu in September

The Ambassador of Australia Sridhar Ayyalaraju visited the University of Tartu on 20 September, and the visit of the Ambassador of Sweden Charlotte Wrangberg took place on 26 September. 

During her visit to the university, the newly appointed Swedish Ambassador Charlotte Wrangberg, who was accompanied by Madis Kanarbik, the Honorary Consul of Sweden residing in Tartu, met with Rector Toomas Asser. Together, they visited the Department of Scandinavian Studies, where they discussed the teaching of the Swedish language at the University of Tartu. 

On 20 September, Sridhar Ayyalaraju, the Ambassador of Australia residing in Copenhagen, paid a visit to the university. The ambassador met with representatives of the International Cooperation and Protocol Office to discuss strengthening the cooperation. He also visited the Delta centre. The guests took a tour of the centre led by Heisi Kurig, Head of the Institute of Computer Science, who also introduced the institute’s activities and study opportunities. 

On 30 September, Rector Toomas Asser met the new Ambassador of Kazakhstan Altay Kulginov to discuss cooperation between the universities of Estonian and Kazakhstan, primarily in the field of teacher education.
