Once you are in high school, you get closer to starting your career path by deciding on your field of study. That was the moment for me when all my previous thoughts about becoming an economist got blurred under the whole spectrum of opportunities. One month I was planning to become a journalist, next – I am a biologist. My final choice fell on the Finance, Banking, and Auditing programme at one of the leading universities. Still, I had a strong feeling that it would be difficult to fit all my interests that could potentially develop into my profession into this programme. I wanted it to be innovative, host my creativity, and develop my communication skills; I needed a programme that would fulfill my potential in analytics too. That is how I found my programme at UT! I am so glad to learn what I planned to, but additionally, widen this knowledge with other tangent fields that are now my new passions.

Why Estonia?

First thing worth mentioning is that Estonia is home to UT, a prestigious and innovative university, I felt honored to apply to! Even though the university and study programme mattered a lot to me, what I also kept in mind while applying was the living environment. I guess we all can agree that even with the best studying experience, other questions arise, such as living conditions. UT and Estonia, especially beloved Tartu, appeared to have full answers to them, making me comfortable with this place. Where do I live? Here, we have affordable, cozy dormitories – you just need to apply for them! How do I do my documents and open my bank account? All is digitalised, the info is available online! How do I get stuff settled with the university? We have an informative, user-friendly webpage, and people who are open to helping and answering questions! There are even more citizen-oriented things that you discover as soon as you arrive that make life in Estonia comfy, easy, and pleasant, especially for a student.
