Summer Schools and Winter Schools
On this page, you will find a selection of summer and winter school offers. Each program has its own application process. Please visit the links below to find more information. Most of the programmes are interdisciplinary, so check out the offers among other fields as well. Like credits for student exchange, the credits received for short courses can be used towards the completion of your curriculum at the University of Tartu. See the course credit transferring process and find the necessary forms here. For advice, contact the RPL adviser in your institute or department.
Please note that students are typically responsible for covering all costs associated with summer and winter schools, including travel, accommodation, and living expenses, unless otherwise stated under the specific programme. Erasmus+ program grants for studies or traineeships are not applicable to summer or winter schools.

UniTartu Summer School. UT students can apply for ENLIGHT scholarship.
University of Groningen Summer Schools. UT students are eligible for a partner university or ENLIGHT discount if offered.
Graz International Summer School Seggau. Two UT students will be given the Coimbra Group scholarship.
Centre for European Studies (CEPS) Ideas Lab 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. Reasonable travel expenses to and from Brussels, together with accommodation and board during event days will be covered for those selected to participate.
Free University of Berlin: Europaeum Leadership Challenge in Berlin, Germany. Reasonable travel expenses to and from Berlin, together with accommodation and board during event days will be covered for those selected to participate.
University of Oxford: The Europaeum Spring School 2026 – Transatlantic Futures in Oxford, England. Reasonable travel expenses to and from Oxford, together with accommodation and board during event days will be covered for those selected to participate.
Kiel University: 75. International Summer Course. Two UT students are offered a cost-free place (no tuition and a free place in the dormitory). Students must have at least B1 level German language proficiency. Please contact the Study Abroad Centre to apply.
