Junior Lecturer in Human Resource Management

Duties and responsibilities
  • Uses modern teaching methods and educational technology at the first two levels of higher education.
  • Supervising students at the first and second level of higher education.
  • Activities related to the administration and development of teaching. Professional development, incl. to enhance teaching and supervising skills as well as skills necessary for research and development.
  • Participation in the research and development under the supervision of a professor or associate professor.
  • Research in the volume equivalent to at least 1/3 of a doctoral thesis in five years.
  • Popularising their specialisation.

Teaching and teaching related activities make up at least 70% of the working time.

Research and development activities make up at least 10% of the working time.

Participation in the institutional development of the university, and social and public activities make up to 5% of the working time.


Required qualifications
Master's degree or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience
  • Ability to teach at the first two levels of higher education, incl. to supervise students at the first and second level of higher education.
  • Previous teaching experience at a higher education institution. Experience in conducting e-learning and supervising students is preferred.
  • Experience in creating modern learning aids and tools, knowledge of learning environments, teaching methods and their development opportunities.
  • The competence of contributing to research and development activities in the field of human resource management.
  • Previous work experience in the field of human resource management would be beneficial.

Required language skills
Excellent command of Estonian. Command of English sufficient for professional communication.
