Duties and responsibilities
- Carrying out research activities in the field of bioinformatics and pharmacogenomics at the Institute of Genomics, predominantly to fulfill the goals of the TeamPerMed project.
- Analysis and publication of research results, predominantly for the TeamPerMed project.
- Consulting other members of the research group on data analysis.
- Popularizing research and disseminating research results.
- Participation in teaching activities at the Institute of Genomics – supervising students who are involved in TeamPerMed project-related research.
Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
- Experience with common methods in statistical genomics, especially with analysing genetic variants, copy number variants (CNVs) in the genome and their association with treatment outcomes.
- Experience in the field of human genomics, pharmacogenetics, bioinformatics and epidemiology.
- Previous experience with methods for genome analysis, including pharmacogenes.
- Previous research expertise in analysing phased genotype, CNVs and long-read sequencing data.
- Experience of international research collaboration.
- Published research papers in peer-reviewed journals on phasing of genomic data or the effect of CNVs on phenotype, preferably in the field of pharmacogenomics.
Required language skills
Advanced command of English.
