The UT staff and students attend the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference in Göttingen

From 16 to 18 November, the staff and students from the University of Tartu will take part in the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference hosted by the University of Göttingen.  

The central theme of this year’s conference is diversity and inclusion in higher education. The attendees of this annual conference of the ENLIGHT network can participate in lively discussions and contribute to shaping the ENLIGHT community spirit. Among others, the topics covered will be challenge-based learning, inclusive education, and innovative teaching and learning approaches. The University of Tartu will have 18 employees and six students attending and the staff will hold three workshops. See the conference agenda.  

On 17 November, the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Award will be awarded to a course which has implemented innovative international pedagogical approaches and/or learning practices related to the educational aims of ENLIGHT. The nominee for the University of Tartu is Anna Beitane and her team from the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies with their MOOC “Common Challenges of Competing Regionalisms” which has been awarded with the best Estonian e-course title.
