Why did you choose to study this programme?

After graduating from college in Ukraine with a junior bachelor's degree in Finance, I was convinced that economics was the path I wanted to take. It was the Business Administration programme that gave me the opportunity to consider different components of doing business, from management and marketing to finance and strategic planning. This broad perspective allows me to develop a complex understanding of how organisations work and gives me the answer to the question: In which field of business do I see myself? In addition, the environment at the University of Tartu is quite diverse, and the approaches to learning are comprehensive and innovative. Therefore, I am confident that this programme will give me the first step towards achieving success in this field.

Why Estonia?

To be honest, I didn’t know too much about Estonia at all, until my friend was enrolled in the University of Tartu a year ago. He was the one who told me how incredible and valuable studying here is (And to this day, I am grateful to him for that).

That was the turning point when I learned about Estonian universities and started looking for different information about them. So, after analysing, I found out that there is an international programme in Tartu in the field I wanted, and that Estonia is a great choice to study economics. Estonia is known for its advanced digital economy, e-government, close ties of universities with businesses, and provision of practical experience, and it has one of the highest rates of startups per capita in Europe. It was then that I decided that this is exactly the place where I see myself in the near future. I was and am sure that this is where I will be able to get a quality education and start my professional development in a dynamic European environment.
