Tartu University Centre for Ethics’ 8th values-based education conference sets focus on entrepreneurial mindset

Tartu University Centre for Ethics organizes its 8th values-based education conference on the 10th-11th of December in Dorpat Conference Centre, Tartu. This year's conference centers on the development of entrepreneurial mindset in kindergartens, schools, universities and society as whole. The conference sets focus of different key points. Does our society value entrepreneurship? How does our educational system support the development of entrepreneurial student? What kind of entrepreneurial skills does an employer value? Which methods and practices support the development of the entrepreneurial mindset the best?

Entrepreneurial mindset is discussed by Paula Kyrö, Tom Ravenscroft, Margit Sutrop, Halliki Harro-Loit, Jane Väli, Toomas Tamsar, Liisi Hansen, Erik Puura, Marge Täks, Mervi Raudsaar, Märt Treier and many other.

The conference acknowledges schools and kindergartens participating in the “Good school as values-based school” and “Good kindergarten as values-based kindergarten” process and announces this year’s nominees for the best values-based school and kindergarten in Estonia. Likewise, the educational program „Enterprising School” hands out their annual awards for the best entrepreneurial kindergartens and schools.

8th values-based education conference is organized by Tartu University Centre of Ethics in cooperation with the educational program “Enterprising School”. The conference is supported by Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, Tartu University, SA Ida-Viru Centre for Entrepreneurship and European Union Structural Assistance Fund.

8th values-based education conference is held in accordance with Estonian Ministry of Education and Research’s national program “Value Development in Estonian Society 2009–2013” continuance program.
