On 16 April, at 19:00, the third University of Tartu Spring Run will take place. In addition to the University of Tartu family, sports enthusiasts from other universities and elsewhere are warmly welcome.
The five-kilometre course starts next to the University of Tartu Sports Hall and runs along the river Emajõgi to the Town Hall Square and back. Participants can cover the distance at their own pace by running or walking. Registration is open on www.tyspordiesindus.com/spring-run, where you will also find more information about the competition classes.
From 7 to 13 April, the regular price for everybody is €18, and on the day of the run, it is €25. It is not possible to register on 14 and 15 April.
Besides overall standings, the Spring Run will also determine the fastest students, the fastest university and the most active faculty of the University of Tartu, based on the number of participants. In 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences was the most active. There will be raffle prizes as well as a musical and entertainment programme.
Note that the roads used for the competition will be partially open to traffic. Participants must obey traffic rules, road signs and signals from traffic controllers. To ensure smooth preparations, participants are advised to arrive in good time before the start.
