Admission of new students has begun at UT

Until 30 June, admission applications can be submitted to the University of Tartu’s 53 Estonian-taught bachelor’s and 54 master’s programmes, including seven new programmes. In the coming academic year, UT will admit 2,342 bachelor’s and 1,417 master’s students.

This year’s admission includes seven new or renewed curricula which correspond to the requirements of the labour market and society. In bachelor’s level these are Biology and Biodiversity Conservation, Estonian Native Craft, Physics, Chemistry and Material Science, Teaching Natural and Exact Sciences at Lower Secondary School and in master’s level Mathematics and Statistics, Conversion Master in IT, and Teacher of Arts and Technology.

Kaja Karo, Senior Specialist for Student Admissions, stressed that student candidates should be informed about the deadlines and conditions of admissions: “During the admissions period it is important to keep in mind the deadline for submitting the application as well as the date of confirming the commencement of studies. It should also be considered that many curricula have entrance examinations which are held at the university.”
