University family is welcome to take part in step challenge Spring Steps 2025

FitSphere invites all University of Tartu students and staff to join the step challenge Spring Steps 2025. The challenge runs from 1 to 30 April and is free for everyone.
The challenge aims to promote regular physical activity. Also, the most active higher education institution in Estonia will be determined.
At the University of Tartu, prizes will be awarded to top three students and staff in each category. In addition, three sets of prizes will be raffled among all participants.
To join the challenge:
Download the FitSphere app to your smart device and register as a user. If you have the Google Fit or Apple Health app on your phone, FitSphere will automatically connect to it.
On the home page of the app, find “private challenges” and enter the access code. University of Tartu members can choose a specific access code depending on their role and faculty.

After you have joined the challenge, just start walking and remember to press the “Register steps” button in the app once every 24 hours.
The five-kilometre course starts next to the UT Sports Hall and runs along the river Emajõgi to the Town Hall Square and back. Participants can cover the distance at their own pace by running or walking.
Besides overall standings, the Spring Run will also determine the fastest students, the fastest university and the most active faculty of the University of Tartu, based on the number of participants.
