The call for the Erasmus+ intra-European mobility application for the 2025/2026 academic year closed in March, revealing increased interest among students in studying at ENLIGHT universities. Application for blended intensive programmes and virtual courses is still open.

The University of Tartu is a member of the ENLIGHT network comprising ten European universities and promoting an equitable quality of life, sustainability and global engagement through higher education transformation. Students have the opportunity to go on student exchange at other ENLIGHT universities under the Erasmus cooperation agreement.

For the 2025/2026 academic year, 320 students applied for the Erasmus+ intra-European mobility programme, 20% more than in the previous academic year. 142 students chose an ENLIGHT university as one of the options – 32% more than last year. One hundred students were selected from them for ENLIGHT universities.

In addition to a semester- or year-long study abroad, students at the University of Tartu can apply for blended intensive programmes and virtual courses held in the autumn semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.

  • Blended intensive programmes (BIP) are taught under the Erasmus+ programme at ENLIGHT universities partly online and 1–2 weeks onsite at the partner university. These are an excellent opportunity to gain international learning experience for those who cannot study abroad longer. Application is open until 15 September. For more detailed information, see the UT website.
  • It is also possible to apply for fully online virtual courses; the application deadlines are 15 April and 18 August. Read more on the ENLIGHT virtual courses website.
