Virtual conference “The Impact of Digitisation on Internationalisation” on 23–24 March

The universities of Goettingen and Tartu are holding a virtual conference on the impact of digitisation on internationalisation on 23–24 March 2021 within the framework of the European University ENLIGHT, bringing relevant stakeholders from higher education experts and policy makers to internationalisation practitioners together with academics and students. 

The conference features panel discussions, expert lectures and workshops. Speakers include Sophia Eriksson Waterschoot, Director for Youth, Education and Erasmus+ at the European Commission, the former Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Anja Türkan, Social Media Advisor for the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the Minister for Science and Culture of the State of Lower Saxony Björn Thümler and Joybrato Mukherjee, President of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The conference is the official opening event of the Saksa Kevad, the German Spring in Estonia. With this annual festival, the German Embassy and the Goethe Institute in Estonia are celebrating German-Estonian relationships. In 2021, the State of Lower Saxony is the official partner and the conference is supported by the Lower Saxon Ministry of Science and Culture.
