The CE7 coalition of seven universities hopes a new partnership with the League European Research Universities will give them more influence in shaping EU policy to better suit their needs.

On 7 November, the Ambassador of India Ajaneesh Kumar visited the University of Tartu. During the visit, the ambassador had a meeting Rector Toomas Asser and the Director of the Institute of Genomics.

In October, the new ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Annette Klein and the new ambassador of the Republic of Latvia Kristīne Našeniece visited the University of Tartu.

On 23 September, the University of Tartu hosted the delegation of Airlangga University, Indonesia. At the meeting, the parties introduced their activities and goals, and discussed future cooperation.
