University of Tartu graduation ceremonies are held from 13 to 20 June. You can watch live webcasts and recordings of the ceremonies on UTTV.

The graduation ceremonies take place in the university assembly hall, but live webcasts of the ceremonies can be viewed in lecture hall 139 of the main building and on the large screen set up for guests in front of the main building. In hot weather, consider bringing a water bottle (you can refill it from a tap in the lobby).

Those using a wheelchair or other mobility aids can enter the main building via the ramp in the courtyard on the right. To open the door, please call the information desk at 737 5102. The assembly hall can be accessed with the lift, which is located in the lobby to the left of the main staircase.

Graduating students will receive more detailed information about the ceremony via email from their faculty or institute. Additionally, make sure to read about receiving the graduation documents.

Those interested in the university’s cap or ring can order them from the university's gift shop at shop.ut.ee. Ring orders are sent to the jeweller on the last day of each month, and the rings are ready in two months. If you want the cap, it's best to order it as soon as possible to receive it before the graduation ceremony. You can conveniently collect the caps and rings from the parcel machine or in the main building. During ceremonies, other university gifts are available for purchase in front of the main building.

In the period of graduation ceremonies from 13 to 20 June, the University of Tartu Art Museum in the main building will be open daily from 10 to 18. The regular ticket is 5 euros, and the discounted ticket is 3 euros. Entrance is free for children under 8 and the University of Tartu employees and students.

The art museum’s permanent exhibition is the only place in Estonia where you can see the best works of antique art and real mummies. The exhibition “Signs of Power” in the temporary exhibition hall focuses on the University of Tartu’s assembly hall, exploring how this space has changed under different powers. Read more about the exhibition on the university museum’s webpage.

Every year, graduates wish to take photos in front of the university's main building. There are also other great places in Tartu for personal photos:
