Graduation ceremonies in 2024

University of Tartu graduation ceremonies are held from 14 to 21 June. You can watch live webcasts and recordings of the ceremonies on UTTV

The graduation ceremonies take place in the university assembly hall, but live webcasts of the ceremonies can be viewed in lecture hall 139 of the main building and on the large screen set up for guests in front of the main building. In hot weather, consider bringing a water bottle (you can refill it from a tap in the lobby).

Wheelchair access to the main building is via the courtyard. To open the door, please call the reception desk at 737 5102. You can get to the assembly hall using the lift located in the lobby to the left of the main staircase.

Graduating students will receive more detailed information about the ceremony via email from their faculty or institute. Additionally, make sure to read about receiving the graduation documents

Those interested in the university’s cap or ring can order them from the university's gift shop at shop.ut.ee. Ring orders are sent to the jeweller on the last day of each month, and the rings are ready in two months. If you want the cap, it's best to order it as soon as possible to receive it before the graduation ceremony. You can conveniently collect the caps and rings from the parcel machine or in the main building. During ceremonies, other university gifts are available for purchase in front of the main building.

Every year, graduates wish to take photos in front of the university's main building. There are also other great places in Tartu for personal photos:
