Duties and responsibilities
- Teaching - including teaching "The planning and Implementing Learning-Supportive Teaching", "Inquiry Learning", "The Didactics of Smart Technology", "Robotics and Programs in Preschool", "Robotics and Programs in Primary School" .
- Supervising students of the first and second level of higher education, co-supervision of doctoral students.
- Participation in admission and defence committees.
- Participation in the research, development and creative activities in the field of educational techology.
- Research in the volume equivalent to at least 2/3 of a doctoral thesis in five years.
- Popularising their specialisation.
- Development of skills necessary for research, development and creative activities, and professional development, incl. to enhance teaching and supervising skills.
Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
- Previous teaching experience at a higher-education institution; experience in supervising students and teaching digital learning courses is recommended.
- International-level research in the specialisation, the volume of which is equivalent to at least one doctoral thesis.
- Experience in designing teaching materials for use in higher education.
- Knowledge of modern teaching aids, learning environments, teaching methods and their development opportunities.
- Research and teaching experience in interdisciplinary learning (e.g. STEAM learning), design-based learning, scientific thinking, history of pedagogy, theories of child development, diversity in education, and collaboration and research in international collaborative networks and project works would be an advantage.
Required language skills
Excellent proficiency in Estonian and English.
