On 5 March at 17:00, the Ukrainian and Estonian string virtuosos Yevgeniy Kostrytskyy and Johanna Vahermägi give a free concert in the university assembly hall. All interested are welcome.

The exhibition inspires us to ask whether we, the humans could learn from the cats how achieve authority and popularity.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Estonia has been a leader in providing refuge to the Ukrainian people. At the start of the war, Estonia accepted the most Ukrainians per capita of any country in the world, and it remains among the top three, behind Czechia and Poland. There are now approximately 60,000 Ukrainians in Estonia, representing about 4.4% of the population. Three-quarters of these Ukrainians have arrived since 2022. These individuals must negotiate how to maintain their cultural identity while integrating and building new lives abroad.

On 15 December at 19:00, the University of Tartu Symphony Orchestra's advent concert takes place in the UT assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

The last concert of the Harmonia Universitatis series this semester will take place in the university assembly hall on 16 December at 18:00. The concert is entitled “Vahemere viisid”.

The exhibition features traditional woollen blankets woven by the Estonian Native Textile students of the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy during their weaving classes. The patterns have been copied from the blankets and rugs found in the museums of Estonia.

On 9 October at 18, Johann Sebastian Bach’s works will be performed at the Harmonia Universitatis concert in the University of Tartu assembly hall.
